The NSW Government's $700 million expansion of Blacktown Hospital created a new Emergency Department and Acute Services Building, significantly increasing the size and complexity of the campus.
With a larger footprint and more departments, visitors needed a wayfinding system that could guide them across the expanded facility clearly and efficiently from the moment they entered.
NSW Health commissioned Envent to design and install a network of indoor digital wayfinding directories throughout Blacktown Hospital's new ED and Acute Services Building, part of the NSW Government's $700 million expansion that established Blacktown as one of the most advanced hospitals in the state.
Envent supplied its proprietary indoor Sabre hardware running the Envention Speciality wayfinding platform, deploying 42" freestanding dual-sided directories with illuminated signage, industrial CPUs, PCAP touchscreens, ventilation and lockable enclosures, positioned strategically across the new development.
The wayfinding interface gave patients and visitors quick access to departments, wards, campus maps, amenities and hospital information from a single touch point.
