Peninsula University Hospital: Live Public Transport Display

Many patients and visitors arrive at Peninsula University Hospital by bus or train, and leave the same way. They need to know which stop to walk to and when the next service departs, without asking staff or checking several apps.

The display had to sit inside the hospital's architectural design, recessed into a timber feature wall in the main entrance, and run on the hospital's own network.

Envent added a live public transport information display to its existing wayfinding at Peninsula University Hospital.

The display shows real-time bus and train departures from Transport Victoria. It refreshes every 15 seconds, so departure times change on screen as services move.

A custom map shows each bus stop, the routes it serves, and walking times from the hospital, including the route to Frankston Station.

Envent delivered the full scope: UI and graphic design, map refinement, backend integration with Transport Victoria's data, Envent Cloud setup, configuration, testing, backups and deployment.

The display runs on the hospital's network, with network on-boarding and a cyber security assessment completed with Peninsula Health's IT team. Envent supports it remotely.
