Charlestown Square needed wayfinding hardware that matched the centre's architectural design language, specified by GPT Group's own architects. Off-the-shelf enclosures weren't an option. The solution required fully custom fabrication and a tailored UI to integrate with the centre's aesthetic, while still delivering a reliable, functional directory experience for shoppers.
Envent designed and built custom indoor digital directories for Charlestown Square Shopping Centre, engineered to meet the architectural specifications supplied by GPT Group's design team. Each unit was built around the Sabre 37" dual-screen portrait enclosure, featuring dual 37" HD 750 NIT LCD panels, PCAP touchscreens, a thermal printer, card reader and Intel CPU hardware. The full system ran on Envent's proprietary Envention wayfinding and media scheduling platform, giving shoppers a seamless way to search stores, find amenities and navigate the precinct. The project set an early benchmark for bespoke hardware design within Envent's retail portfolio.
