Ergon Energy needed digital directories that could connect to their active directory and serve thousands of staff across five Queensland locations. Envent delivered a bespoke multi-site solution in 2012, then returned in 2014 to build a dedicated per-floor directory system for their Newstead corporate headquarters.

Ergon Energy operates across multiple Queensland cities and employs thousands of staff.
They had no digital solution for helping employees and visitors find staff, facilities or meeting rooms.
The problem had two layers: the multi-site network needed a single system pulling from active directory, and the Newstead HQ specifically needed a floor-by-floor building directory with daily-synced staff and tenant data.
Envent was commissioned in 2012 to design and deploy a bespoke staff building directory platform for Ergon Energy across five sites: Newstead, Mackay, Townsville, Toowoomba and Brisbane.
The system connected directly to Ergon's active directory, pulling live staff, facility and meeting room data and publishing it to a range of custom kiosk hardware including Scythe, Echo and purpose-built enclosures.
In 2014 Envent returned to deliver a dedicated solution for the Newstead corporate headquarters.
The 7-storey building received wall-mounted 20" ELO LCD directories on every floor, each running Envention Wayfinder and Building Directory software with daily active directory sync for staff and tenant locations. Custom CPUs, touchscreens and proprietary enclosures were specified and installed throughout.
