Lismore Hospital, NSW

Outdoor digital directories for Lismore Base Hospital's main entrances, built to handle outdoor conditions while giving patients and visitors clear access to hospital services and navigation at the door.

Model/ Hardware:

Outdoor 42" Sabre directories; galvanised and powdercoated sheet metal construction, 6mm toughened PCAP touchscreens, industrial CPUs, integrated air conditioning, wireless communications, lockable branded enclosures

Gap Analysis:

Lismore Base Hospital needed wayfinding placed at its main entrances, in the open air, serving a regional community with a wide range of visitors, many unfamiliar with the hospital's layout and services.

The directories had to be readable outdoors, weatherproof, wireless-connected for remote content management, and branded to match the hospital's identity.

The Northern NSW Local Health District needed a unit that could be deployed and managed without on-site IT dependency.

Project Summary:

NSW Health commissioned Envent to supply and install outdoor digital directories at the main entrances of Lismore Base Hospital, serving Northern NSW Local Health District.

Each unit was built on Envent's outdoor 42" Sabre platform, constructed from galvanised and powdercoated sheet metal for durability, featuring 6mm toughened PCAP touchscreens, industrial CPUs, integrated air conditioning and wireless communications for remote management.

The lockable, branded enclosures were finished to hospital specification, running the Envention wayfinder platform with advertising and SMS content capability to help patients and visitors understand available services and find their way across the campus.
