Westmead's new Acute Services Building opened onto an already sprawling, well-established campus. Health Infrastructure needed wayfinding that did two jobs at once: give detailed, level-by-level navigation inside the new building, and still connect visitors back out to the existing A-J blocks and the wider campus.
Most wayfinding systems pick one scale and do it badly at the other. Westmead needed both to work from day one.
Envent was selected by Health Infrastructure as the preferred wayfinding partner for WSLHD. The brief covered indoor digital directories for the newly built, multilevel Acute Services Building, plus high-level wayfinding out to the existing Westmead Hospital A-J blocks and external campus buildings.
The deeper integration, detailed indoor wayfinding across all A-J Blocks, was scoped as a 2023 follow-on phase. Hardware was the Compass digital directory line, running on Envent Cloud.
